budgets on the rise
Meeting budgets for independent planning firms are projected to increase in a big way in 2004, states FutureWatch 2004, an annual meeting industry survey sponsored by Meeting Professionals International and American Express. Budgets for independents are expected to increase 35 percent to an average of $6.5 million, up from an average of $4.8 million in 2003, according to the survey.
