Funky Fun at Fairmont
All work and no play make for a dull corporate outing, which is why Fairmont Hotels & Resorts has designed teambuilding activities that incorporate local themes or customs at many of its properties.
At the Fairmont Kea Lani Maui, for example, groups can take part in the Hawaiian Canoe Experience. At the Fairmont Sonoma (Calif.) Mission Inn & Spa, attendees can get their feet wet in the Authentic Grape Stomp. Snowshoe races, beer-can stacks, and the crab walk relay are all part of the Fairmont Algonquin Olympics at the Algonquin resort in New Brunswick, Canada. Or how about a scavenger hunt through historic Boston at the Fairmont Copley Plaza?
“People are looking for experiences that give them a feel for the destination,” says Lori Holland, Fairmont Hotels & Resorts spokeswoman. “We really try to look at what the natural surroundings are and use them to inspire us to create programs.”
