Hilton Caribbean has joined with Coral Hotels & Resorts to launch a new all-inclusive resort brand, Coral by Hilton, which encompasses four properties in the Dominican Republic. That makes Hilton International one of the first worldwide hotel companies to create an all-inclusive brand.
The growing popularity of the all-inclusive vacation package — most notably, perhaps, the package available at the Jalousie Hilton Resort & Spa in St. Lucia — moved Hilton to create the brand. The marriage works to the advantage of both companies. CHR gets the cachet of the Hilton name, and Hilton didn't have to create the resorts from the ground up. Hilton intends to make “14 points of improvement” to its new all-inclusives, points that will be announced in the coming months.
The four all-inclusive resorts that are part of the new Coral by Hilton brand include the Canoa Coral by Hilton, Coral Costa Caribe Beach Resort & Casino, Coral Hamaca Beach Resort & Casino, and Coral Marien Beach Resort & Spa. CHR will manage the properties.
