LEADERLAB HELPS EXECUTIVES PUT PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT INTO ACTION

What good is executive training if participants can't transfer new insights to the workplace? The Center for Creative Leadership (CCL) in Greensboro, NC is addressing that dilemma with its Leader Lab, a program designed to help executives make the transition from personal understanding to effective action.

LeaderLab is designed for senior managers and executives who already understand their own strengths and needs but require a greater external focus to lead large divisions or entire companies. Program Manager Bill Morley says participants learn to create "leader-rich" organizations. "They learn how to build an atmosphere that empowers others to take responsibility. That kind of leadership is necessary to deal with the rapid changes in today's business climate."

LeaderLab takes place over a six-month period, with two Center-based sessions each followed by three months of at-home work on an action plan. The program emphasizes establishing interpersonal relations, thinking and behaving systematically, coping with instability, and thinking and acting with flexibility.

The next program runs October 5 to 10 and January 12 to 15. Call CCL at (910) 545-2810.
