Considered the grand dame of resorts in Aruba, the 358-room Radisson Aruba Resort & Casino sits on 14 oceanfront acres. The complex includes a 15,000-square-foot conference center, while beachfront, pool areas, and lawns offer an additional 24,000 square feet of function space. Designed by famed architect Morris Lapidus (he also did Miami Beach's Fontainebleu and Eden Roc hotels), the hotel underwent a radical $55 million interior redesign several years ago.

Tierra del Sol Resort & Country Club opened Aruba's first world-class golf course in the mid-1990s. Designed by Robert Trent Jones II to complement the natural surroundings, it incorporates native cactus and rock formations. A new nine-hole course is scheduled to open in early 2004.
