MediaLive acquires software co.
WingateWeb, Lindon, Utah, designer of the event management software of choice for major user group conferences such as Oracle World and HP World, was acquired by MediaLive International in June. San Francisco-based MediaLive, which produces a roster of technology events, including COMDEX, NetWorld+Interop, and Seybold Seminars, plans to use WingateWeb's Conference 3.5 for its JavaOne Conference this month and for a COMDEX event in November, and then roll it out for all MediaLive events in 2005.
