After a $65 million renovation, the 480-room HYATT GRAND CHAMPIONS RESORT & SPA, in Indian Wells, Calif., offers remodeled guest rooms and meeting rooms (including the 20,000-square-foot ballroom). Every guest room and suite is fully wireless and features a sitting area, a work desk, a private terrace, and a marble bath. Guests can swim in seven free-form pools, and poolside cabanas offer Internet access. The Agua Serena Spa has 18 treatment rooms, plunge pools, and a full-service salon. The resort is surrounded by two 18-hole championship courses.
LAKE LAS VEGAS RESORT, a residential 3,592-acre golf and resort community in Henderson, Nev., near Las Vegas, will build the first Loews property in the state. LOEWS LAKE LAS VEGAS RESORT will have approximately 400 rooms and suites, 40,000 square feet of meeting space, and a 20,000-square-foot spa. In Brewster, Mass., OCEAN EDGE RESORT & GOLF CLUB on Cape Cod has finished a $5.5 million renovation. The historic 429-acre property has 335 guest rooms; a private beach; six pools; tennis facilities; and an 18-hole championship golf course. The project upgraded guest rooms, added a boardroom, and renovated the golf course. In May, the resort opened the only John Jacobs' Golf School in New England.
Set for a September opening in downtown Palm Springs, Calif., HOTEL ZOSO will have more than 20,000 square feet of meeting space and a 22,000-square-foot exhibit area. On the site of the former Marquis Resort, the hotel will have 162 guest rooms (all with desks, Herman Miller Aeron chairs, and Internet access) and a spa.

In Chicago, WESTIN MICHIGAN AVENUE has just completed a $3 million renovation. The hotel's 35,000 square feet of event space has received a full makeover.
As we went to press, a new hotel was set to open July 1 at Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport.
