Turtle Bay Resort
TALK ABOUT A ROOM with a view. Perched at the northern tip of Oahu on Kuilima Point, an hour's drive from Waikiki, the 443-room Turtle Bay Resort offers views of some of the most spectacular surf in the world from every room. And with its 9,000-square-foot ballroom built just over a year ago as part of a $60 million renovation, the resort is making a splash as a group destination.
Amenities include two 18-hole championship golf courses designed by Arnold Palmer and George Fazio, and the 7,000-square-foot Spa Launa, where guests can watch the waves from one of the six oceanview treatment rooms. Turtle Bay also has a surfing school, a golf academy, horseback riding, swimming and scuba diving in the cove, and many other activities. Many guests prefer to lay low at the Hang Ten Bar and Grill at poolside or enjoy drinks and kabobs on the beach at the Sand Bar while watching for honu — or swimming turtles. After all, it is Turtle Bay.
