Andy Dolce Honored by IACC
The winner of the International Association of Conference Centers’ first-ever Global Distinguished Service Award was no surprise to those who follow that industry. Andy Dolce, founder and chairman of Dolce Hotels and Resorts, received the award at the association’s 28th annual conference, held at Château Élan Winery & Resort in Braselton, Ga., last month.
Dolce, who served as IACC’s president from 1993 to 1994 and started the group on its way to establishing chapters in Europe, the Asia-Pacific region, and North America, was lauded for his advancement of the industry, both here and abroad. His company, Dolce Hotels and Resorts, founded in 1981, manages 16 IACC-member conference centers in North America and six in Europe, and employs approximately 4,000 people worldwide.
IACC plans to award the Global Distinguished Service Award annually.
