Blowing Our Horn
Corporate Meetings & Incentives has won a national American Society of Business Press Editors award for its February 2008 cover story, "Surviving Six Sigma," which featured Debi Scholar, CMM, CMP, CTE, CTT, and Kathy Murray of PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP. The article, by Senior Writer Alison Hall, follows PwC’s three-year journey to implement the Six Sigma process-improvement program and reports the impressive results.
We find out in July whether Alison’s story earned ASBPE’s gold, silver, or bronze honor, but whatever the results, she’s on a roll. We just learned that she won the first TABPI (Trade, Association, and Business Publications International) Editorial Challenge. She wrote an original article for the contest and was awarded for the quality and tone of her writing, and her detail work.
Join us in congratulating Alison. If you want to read her latest, on the effects of the global recession on the international meetings industry (and how meeting professionals can take advantage of it), click here.
