Air France to Open Expedited Security Lane at JFK

Following in the footsteps of British Airways, Air France has reached an agreement with Verified Identity Pass to sponsor a Registered Traveler program at JFK International Airport’s Terminal 1, which is expected to start screening passengers as early as next month.

Verified and British Airways already plan to launch a Registered Traveler lane at JFK’s Terminal 7 sometime this month. Verified already operates a Registered Traveler program in Orlando and says that programs at airports in Cincinnati; San Jose, Calif.; and Indianapolis are on the verge of launching as well. Under the program, participants provide background information to the Transportation Security Administration and, with TSA’s approval (and the payment of a $99.95 fee), receive a biometric security card that gives them expedited access through security lines in participating airports.

In addition to sponsoring a Registered Traveler lane at JFK, Air France will market Verified’s program—called Clear—to its customers in the United States.

"Air France continues to look for ways to provide our customers with quality products and services that enhance their travel experience, and Clear is yet another way we can achieve this goal," said General Manager and Vice President Air France U.S.A. Marie-Joseph Malé in a statement announcing the agreement with Verified.
