Hilton Delays Denizen Project
In response to the lawsuit filed last week by Starwood that accuses Hilton and two of its executives of corporate espionage, Hilton announced today that it is temporarily suspending work on its new luxury lifestyle Denizen brand. It also has put the two Hilton employees named in the suit, former Starwood executives Ross Klein and Amar Lalvani, on paid administrative leave.
The suit accuses Hilton of aiding and abetting the executives in the theft of proprietary information about Starwood’s W Hotels brand to reduce the time and costs involved in launching Denizen.
