IACC to Stream Thought Leader Summit

The International Association of Conference Centers’ Thought Leader Summit on Conference Technology convenes in downtown Chicago on March 24, and meeting professionals are invited to watch a live stream of the event, free of charge.

From 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. EST, IACC’s expert panel will offer insights on “incorporating advancing technology into the meeting experience.” The forum addresses the use of conference technology to expand or enhance–but not replace–smaller meetings with an average size of 25 to 75 people.

Virtual attendees, including conference center professionals gathering at the nearby Eaglewood Resort & Spa for IACC’s annual conference (March 24–26), will be able to send comments and questions to the panel in real time via Twitter. The panel includes technology professionals from conference center properties and organizations, audiovisual companies, corporate education, and the planning community. The facilitator is John Potterton, vice president, education, at the Professional Convention Management Association.

The panel will address a variety of questions, including:

  • What are the high-level trends in technology and training?
  • How do you keep four generations engaged at the same time when each want to be taught in a different way?
  • What will learning look like in the 21st century?
  • How can IACC properties adapt their products and services to provide the right learning environment?
