Meeting Measurement Company Wins Annual Technology Prize
GuideStar Research’s MeetingMetrics has taken home the 2008 technology prize from EIBTM, the Barcelona, Spain-based meetings and incentives exhibition. The show’s annual WorldWide Technology Watch competition, chaired by Corbin Ball, CMP, CSP, Corbin Ball Associates, honors technological innovations that have a positive impact on meetings, conventions, incentives, and exhibitions.
MeetingMetrics came out No. 1 in a field of 38 applicants for its online meeting-results-measurement process. The system provides customizable pre- and post-meeting surveys and gives meeting managers access to real-time, online results.
The judges were won over by the tool’s ROI survey builder and online meeting ROI report center, which has been endorsed by the ROI Institute; a library of more than 1,000 meetings-related survey questions; and an online, in-meeting, session-evaluation survey with real-time session and speaker-rating reports.
Here are the runners-up for 2008:
- MeetingMatrix’s PlanView.Net—provides online room diagramming and meeting space viewing,
- a2z Inc.’s a2zGADGETS—allows user’s of its show management software to see customized key performance indicators in the form of widget technology,
- Vision Tree Conference—allows organizers to interact with attendees using mobile devices, and
- Fish Software—uses RFID tags to measure attendee movement in an exhibition hall.
