Mo Show Gets a Revamp
Next year's Motivation Show will have a new format, schedule, and venue, announced Peter Erickson, managing director, Hall-Erickson Inc., at a press conference at this year’s show in Chicago on Sept. 29.
Instead of three days of exhibit hall hours and seminars, Tuesday through Thursday, Tuesday will be seminars only. The show hours will be from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Wednesday and Thursday. Erickson said the new schedule would greatly reduce exhibitors' expenses by eliminating overtime charges on weekend move-in, and would reduce the number of hotel room nights they need to book from three to two. Erickson said that the educational seminars, which attendees pay to attend, attract a high number of first-time attendees.
The show also will move from McCormick Place South to the new McCormick West building.
