Penton’s Trade Shows Announce Exclusive Housing and Registration Partners
Penton Media Inc.
Penton has worked with CSI and onPeak in the past on shows such as The Special Event, held annually in January and the companion show for Penton’s Special Events magazine. “To leverage our best buying power and streamline our organization, it only made sense to have an exclusive partner for registration and another for housing to handle our entire portfolio,” says Alan Peterson, president, exhibitions, at Penton Media. The contracts run from 2011–2015. Peterson cited both companies’ technological advancements as well as their ability to collaborate with one another as key reasons for the move.
“CSI and onPeak work exceptionally well together because of our common dedication to heightened customer service,” says Michael Howe, president and chief financial officer at onPeak.
The expanded integration of CSI’s registration software and onPeak’s COMPASS Reservation System® enables data sharing between the event registration and housing processes so that users are only prompted to enter their information once. The result is that users receive singular, combined event confirmations. They can also view their hotel and travel information on the registration Web site while moving back and forth between registration and housing.
Penton’s events include: WasteExpo, Electric West, Club Industry, Club Industry East, Coal Prep, LDI, The Special Event, Natural Products Expo West/SupplyExpo, Natural Products Expo East/Organic Products Expo, and Natural Market Place NutraCostmetics.
