Post Con: After Hours with Jeff Broudy

Highlights
Get to know the executive vice president, United Incentives, Philadelphia, and chairman, Board of Trustees, Incentive Research Foundation

1. If you could be anywhere in the world, where would you be?
Our favorite place is in a small town near Radda in Chianti, Italy. The wine and olives are magnificent, and Galileo designed some of his measuring instruments in the workshop next to the apartment.
2. What’s playing on your iPod?
Either Gershwin or TED talks
3. If you could be a superhero, what super power would you want? Patience. That’s a superpower, right?
4. It’s time for a second career, what do you choose?
I’d like to be the guy who makes physics simple on the Science Channel. I love the elegance of combining art and science.
5. When your life story is made into a movie, whom should they cast as you?
My wife says Billy Crystal. I’d prefer Daniel Day Lewis. Either way, it’ll be straight to YouTube.
6. What’s the best book you’ve read in the past year?
Bill Bryson’s A Short History of Nearly Everything
7. What’s your hidden talent?
My friends tell me I am a great cook, but I think they’re just happy for me to do it for them.
8. Who inspires you?
My dad. He spent WW2 in the infantry in the Pacific from Guadalcanal to Tokyo and earned Bronze Stars. Then he came home by ship, train, and bus, and walked the last few blocks to his mother’s house, knocked on the door, and restarted his life at 22 years old. He never talked about it. He raised three sons as a single dad. Awesome.
9. What is your favorite cause/charity?
Philadelphia Futures, where you mentor at-risk high-school students. 10. How do you strike a balance between work and your personal life?
I do what I love and love what I do.
11. What is your greatest strength?
My family.
