Vitagliano to Head New Incentive Research Foundation
The Society of Incentive and Travel Executives has tapped its former CEO and well-known industry leader Bob G. Vitagliano, CITE, to become executive director of the International SITE Foundation, its new research arm. The ISF will replace the SITE Foundation, which broke from SITE in May to become the Incentive Research Foundation and focus its efforts on research that extends beyond incentive travel.
The ISF elected its inaugural board of trustees at its annual meeting, held in Barcelona last week. The group, which will be led by Jerry G. McGee, president, Ambassadors International, includes many longtime industry names, including Fay P. Beauchine, CITE, senior vice president, enterprise sales, Carlson Cos.; Ray A. Bloom, chairman, IMEX; and Bill Boyd, CITE, CMP, CMM, president and CEO, Sunbelt Motivation & Travel Inc. The group’s first major fundraising event will be a golf tournament at Pebble Beach Resort December 4 to 6, 2007, in conjunction with SITE’s International Conference
