In October, a new Florence Convention Bureau Web site was launched for national and international meeting planners. A new feature at the site is the Meeting Planner Guide, which includes a comprehensive database of meeting and convention facilities and locations in the Province of Florence. Hotels, restaurants, museums and historic buildings, convention centers, and exhibition areas are all at your fingertips, described in simple tabs, showing pictures, technical specifications, services offered, availability, location, and historic/artistic details. The Meeting Planner Guide also has collected, for the first time, the operational information for all the museums, palaces, and institutional venues of Florence and its suburbs.

Another new feature at the site is the free, downloadable Congress Card service. Created for conference participants, the card offers discounts or special entry for museums and cultural sites; shops; clubs; restaurants; spas; golf; guided tours; taxi, bicycle, or car rentals; airport transfers; and other services.
