Meetings don't have to be confined to convention centers — Rocky Mountaineer's "traveling boardrooms" offer a fully customizable experience for meetings and incentive programs, all during a train ride between Vancouver and the Canadian Rockies. Rocky Mountaineer offers four distinctive rail routes through British Columbia and Alberta. The train travels by daylight through Canada's West and allows passengers to experience the Canadian Rockies, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Rocky Mountaineer's bi-level dome coaches offer a view of the Rockies; meetings transpire in an exclusive parlor car equipped with LCD screens and boardroom tables. Meeting planners can customize their onboard event with cocktail receptions and headrests with company logos.
Itinerary options for excursions and activities in Western Canada are also available. Rocky Mountaineer Group Travel Consultants can handle the logistics, make arrangements with partner hotels, and recommend such itineraries as spa, golf, or wine excursions. Itineraries may include a variety of destinations such as Vancouver and Whistler, British Columbia, or Jasper and Banff, Alberta. From glacier helicopter tours in Banff National Park to Columbia Icefield excursions, the options are many.
Larger groups can charter a rail car or the whole train. One-day charters are available on the Whistler Sea to Sky Climb route, where groups can choose from either Dome Service or Classic Service and will have access to the Heritage Observation Car, with an open-air viewing area. On two-day charters, groups can choose from GoldLeaf or RedLeaf Service as well as the GoldLeaf Themed Experience coach, a bi-level domed car with a plush lounge area in the upper dome and a library and coffee bar on the lower level. They will also have access to specialty lounge cars with conference and meeting facilities.
