Tinley Park, Ill., officials broke ground on April 13, 2010, on an expansion of the Tinley Park Convention Center. The expansion will add 24,000 square feet of clear-span exhibit space and 9,000 square feet of meeting space, effectively doubling the size of the facility.

The $19 million project will bring 250 jobs to the area and is expected to bring in $265 million in annual revenue.

The project is expected to be completed by May 2011.
