Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide has announced the opening of its second Westin property in greater Las Vegas, the Westin Lake Las Vegas Resort and Spa in Henderson, Nev., 15 minutes from the Las Vegas Strip. The resort has undergone a $4 million renovation that includes upgrades to its 493 rooms and suites. It features more than 94,000 square feet of meeting and banquet facilities, along with two pools, beaches, cabanas, and a choice of water activities. Guest rooms include high-speed Internet access and ergonomic work space. Golfing at the Jack Nicklaus-designed South Shore Golf Club is available nearby. Dining options including Marssa Restaurant, Rick’s Café, and cocktails at the hotel’s Moroccan-style Arabesque Lounge.
The largest meeting space, the 20,581-square-foot Casablanca Ballroom, can accommodate 1,680 theater-style. Other meeting spaces include the 392-square-foot SAFI Boardroom and the 392-square-foot Asilah Boardroom.
