The Little Nell Completes $20 Million Makeover

The Little Nell, a 5-star, 5-diamond hotel in Aspen, Colo., recently completed a $20 million renovation project. Guest rooms and corridors were updated with custom American black walnut millwork, ornamental metals, and Spanish marble tile that was hand-picked from Spain. Smart room technology panels were installed in each guest room to control temperature, lighting, TV, and music volume levels wirelessly.

First Finish, the Columbia, Md.–based general contracting firm that renovated the hotel, converted each of the resort’s old doors into mulch, and donated all existing furniture to a local Habitat for Humanity chapter.
