Renaissance World Golf Village Resort and Convention Center Adds New Boardroom

Located within the 6,000-acre World Golf Village, the Renaissance World Golf Village Resort and Convention Center in Jacksonville/St. Augustine, Fla., has added a new boardroom to its meeting facilities. The 450-square-foot Masters Board Room can accommodate 20 people and has state-of-the-art audiovisual technology. Additional meeting space includes the 515-square-foot Royal Melbourne Board Room, the 26,450-square-foot St. Augustine Ballroom, and the 6,845-square-foot Legends Ballroom. The Renaissance has done a major renovation and expansion of its outdoor event space. The outdoor patio area, La Terrazza, now accommodates more than 500 guests. Function space now totals 101,000 square feet.

A newly opened UPS Store and Business Center offers printing and binding, packing and shipping, computer rental with Wi-Fi and Internet, and an assortment of office supplies. The new store means you can ship large displays, heavy boxes and luggage to the store to await your arrival—which then can be shipped back at the end of your event.

Director of Catering Sales & Destination Services Kristin Thompson now heads up the new event planning department. And the resort’s White Glove Meetings Services includes complimentary transportation to and from Jacksonville International Airport. Another popular amenity is complimentary shuttle to and from historic downtown St. Augustine, which was founded in 1565.

The resort opened a new coffee shop in August that serves Starbucks coffee and breakfast fare.

Recreational offerings at the resort include two championship golf courses: the Slammer & Squire and the King & Bear (co-designed by Arnold Palmer and Jack Nicklaus).
