$11 Million Renovation Complete at Hilton Americas-Houston

An $11 million renovation of Hilton Americas-Houston wrapped up this past fall. All 1,200 guest rooms in the hotel, the largest in Houston, were updated and redesigned with flat-screen, high-definition TVs, Hilton Serenity beds, artwork, carpeting, workstation with ergonomic chair, granite-topped dressers, and coffeemaker. The updated soft goods include drapes, sheers, light fixtures, chairs, and lamps.

Renovated guest bathrooms now feature granite countertops, new mirrors, curved shower curtain rods, and water-conserving rain showerheads. The Executive Lounge located on the 19th floor has new furnishings and fresh amenities, including Apple computers with functional places to meet and work.

New carpeting has been installed throughout the meeting facilities and pre-function areas.

The hotel, originally designed by architect Bernardo Fort-Brescia and opened in December 2003, is located downtown and is connected to the George R. Brown Convention Center.
