Hyatt Regency Tamaya Introduces Meet and Be Green

Twin Warriors Golf Club at Hyatt Regency Tamaya Resort & Spa was designed by Gary Panks.

The Hyatt Regency Tamaya Resort & Spa in Santa Ana Pueblo, N.M., has launched a new initiative called Meet and Be Green, which encourages guests and planners to make environmentally friendly choices for their meetings.

The Council Boardroom at Hyatt Regency Tamaya can accommodate 80 people for a reception.

When meeting at the hotel, planners and meeting attendees are encouraged to “go green” for their meeting. To participate, planners and guests must agree to recycle during the meeting; use products with 100 percent recycled content; print materials locally; minimize shipping; place meeting materials such as handouts, notepads, pens, etc., in a central location so attendees can take as needed; maintain room temperatures at an appropriate level; eliminate disposable water bottles; minimize use of other disposable products such as plates, cups, napkins, and utensils; and select locally grown seasonal foods when planning the menu.

For new meetings booked by December 20, 2010, and held by March 31, 2011, groups participating in the program will be eligible for a 3 percent rebate on qualifying charges on the master bill.
