The new ballroom, located at the southeast base of Camelback Mountain, will feature high windows, multiple registration areas, and a separate valet entrance. It can be subdivided into seven separate function areas. A large outdoor plaza, overlooking the resort’s championship golf course, will provide additional options for breaks and receptions. Overall, including back-of-house, lobby, and pre-function space, the $40 million ballroom encompasses 45,000 square feet.
The lobby will join the new ballroom to the rest of the hotel’s meeting space, including the 22,543-square-foot Phoenician Grand Ballroom. The new ballroom will increase the resort’s overall meeting and event space to more than 120,000 square feet. Hotel officials say the hotel is one of only four luxury properties in the U.S. capable of hosting groups of up to 800 people and providing guest room accommodations, food and beverage, and meeting facilities.
