New Amsterdam Hotel Offers Stylish Meeting Space

The lobby at Conservatorium Hotel Amsterdam features exposed brick and wood beams of the former music conservatory.

An iconic building in Amsterdam that once housed the city’s premier music conservatorium has been transformed into a stylish hotel with 129 guest rooms and suites, and meeting space. Design Hotels’ Conservatorium Hotel Amsterdam focuses on a mix of old and new, with exposed brick and beams throughout. The redesign was overseen by award-winning Milan-based designer Piero Lissoni.

The hotel offers several dining outlets, including Conservatorium Brasserie & Lounge and Tunes Restaurant & Bar. The Akasha Holistic Wellbeing Center offers spa treatments including a Watsu pool, hammam treatments, and aromatherapies; a lap pool; and a fitness center featuring Life Fitness equipment, yoga, tai-chi, and Pilates.

Six meeting and event rooms, all with natural daylight, are equipped with high-definition videoconferencing systems. The Symphony Room can accommodate 130, theater-style.

Conservatorium Hotel Amsterdam is located in the Museumplein, opposite the Royal Concertgebouw and close to the Stedelijk Museum, the Van Gogh Museum, and the Rijksmuseum.
