Dear ICPA Colleagues: This is the last time I will sit at my dining room table writing this letter to you. You will receive this issue not long before this year's annual meeting at The Broadmoor. What a spectacular location - I know we'll soon be enjoying one of the best annual meetings ever, thanks to Lynn Averill.
It's been a fast and furious year for all of us. For me especially, as I endeavored to lead ICPA into the new millennium. Thanks to all the members who supported me, especially the ICPA Board of Directors.
Mauna Hatchett conducted one of the most successful Educational Forums ever this summer. Survey results support that statement. The city of Providence and the Westin Hotel were great hosts.
A complete review of our bylaws at the last board meeting will strengthen our organization, and for those attending the annual meeting, you will have an opportunity to question the board on bylaws - or any other subject - during the Town Meeting.
What a decision you have to make: ICPA has four outstanding members running for next year's Board. Please take the time to review their credentials on the following pages.
Well, now I have to do one of my favorite things - pack! I'm leaving in a few days for Montreux, Switzerland, to conduct the Nationwide 2000 President's Conference at the Montreux Palace; then I'm vacationing with friends in Monte Carlo, Venice, and parts unknown - you know, Europe on $25 a day. I'll tell you all about it when I see you.
