* Independent agents are very positive about insurance companies that provide production incentives and appropriate training, according to a recent survey conducted by the Independent Insurance Agents of America (IIAA). The Alexandria, Va.-based association surveyed its national and state leaders on their relationships with the insurance companies whose products they sell. More than one-third of respondents said the overall state of their company relationships had improved over the past two years, while another third said they had remained the same.

* The Million Dollar Round Table has released its Year 2000 membership requirements. Applicants must have a minimum of $57,000 in commissions paid or credited and must be a member of an MDRT-accredited life underwriters association.
