Radisson Hotels Worldwide earlier this year opened the Radisson at Sun Peaks Resort, in the heart of Canada's hot new Sun Peaks Resort tourist and ski area in British Columbia.

Sun Peaks, about a four-and-a-half-hour drive from Vancouver in an area originally known as Tod Mountain, has been under development since 1992. The area has always been known for its challenging skiing, but now operators have doubled the number of runs on the mountain so that skiers of all levels will be accommodated.

The Sun Peaks village, when it is fully completed, will offer a variety of attractions, including an ice-skating rink, snowshoe trails, golf, tennis, shopping, and year-round outdoor swimming pools, in its effort to become a major new destination resort in British Columbia.

The Radisson at Sun Peaks features two lodges with a total of 142 condominium units--all with fireplaces, efficiencies or kitchens, and some with water-jet tubs. The hotel also has meeting space that accommodates groups of up to 150 for receptions, or 70 for theater-style meetings.
