Eden Roc
Sure, attendees will appreciate the high-speed Internet connections, new meeting space, and business concierge at the Eden Roc Miami Beach, a Renaissance Resort and Spa. But you'll catch them really smiling as they stride through the new lobby, with its rosewood columns, retro furniture, and the marbled onyx décor of Harry's American Bar. A $17 million renovation has suffused the beachfront resort with echoes of its past as a favorite haunt of celebrities such as Lucille Ball and Sammy Davis Jr. while updating business amenities.
The 349-room, 58-suite property has more than 36,000 square feet of meeting space. The 10,000-square-foot grand ballroom was the Café Pompeii, which in the 1950s and '60s featured entertainers such as Harry Belafonte and Milton Berle. Three penthouse suites offer wraparound balconies. Two private yachts are available for events.
The Spa of Eden offers massage therapies, body treatments, fitness classes, and a cardiovascular center and weight room. Attendees also can relax at one of two pools, stroll the boardwalk, or lounge on the white-sand beach.
