Hotel veteran Thomas Bewley has been named divisional vice president of sales for Wyndham International resorts, based at the Wyndham Palace Resort & Spa in Orlando. Bewley joins Wyndham after 17 years with ITT Sheraton, most recently as director offor the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin. Mike Waterman has been named director of marketing in the pre-opening office of the Baltimore Marriott Waterfront, set for completion in early 2001. He had been director of marketing at the Renaissance Chicago. MaryGrace McCaffrey has been promoted to director of sales and marketing for the Sheraton Boston Hotel. She had been director of group and convention sales at the property. David Scypinski has been named senior vice president, industry relations for Starwood Hotels and Resorts. He had been vice president, industry relations, for Hilton Hotels Corp. Scypinski, who was with Hilton for more than 20 years, will be based in Washington, D.C., and will be responsible for maintaining partnerships with Starwood's corporate and association accounts and for creating and enhancing third-party relationships. Also at Starwood, Thomas Clearwater has been promoted from regional director of sales and marketing to vice president of hotel sales and marketing operations, North America. Clearwater will oversee the company's regional directors of sales and marketing. Mark Vinciguerra has been named regional vice president of operations for the western region of Wyndham International's resort and luxury division. He will be based at The Boulders Resort, in Carefree, Ariz., where he has been the vice president and general manager. Mary Neister has been named area director of sales and marketing for Starwood Hotels and Resorts, with responsibility for four Starwood hotels in the Greater Boston area. Based at the Boston Park Plaza Hotel, she will oversee sales efforts for that property as well as the Sheraton Ferncroft in Danvers, the Sheraton Colonial Hotel and Golf Club in Wakefield, and the Sheraton Newton Hotel in Newton. She formerly served as director of hotel sales at the Warner Center Marriott Woodland Hills (Calif.). Mohegan Sun in Uncasville, Conn., named Christine Anderson manager of the Midwest region. She joins the Mohegan Sun from the Wyndham Orlando Resort, where she was a sales manager. Also at the property, Patrick Sullivan will take charge of sales for the New England region. He had been director of sales and marketing for Hastings International Conference Center in Hartford, Conn. Diana M. Gonda has been named director of national accounts for the Midwest for Marriott's Harbor Beach Resort, located in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. Gonda will be based in Chicago and will handle corporate and association clients. She had been director of sales for the Marriott at Sawgrass Resort in Ponte Vedra, Fla. Rina Agriss has been named regional director of sales for Resort Meetings Consortium, a site selection firm. She had been national sales manager at the Hotel del Coronado. Agriss will be based in San Diego. David Sneider has been named director of sales for Tempe (Ariz.) Mission Palms Hotel and Conference Center. Sneider had served as national account manager of the Scottsdale (Ariz.) Conference Resort. Shan Kanagasingham has been named national sales manager for The Ritz-Carlton, New Orleans, a restored property set to open as a luxury hotel this spring. She was most recently director of conference services at The Ritz-Carlton, Millenia, Singapore. Jerri Lane has been named director of sales and marketing for the Westin Seattle. Lane joins the Westin from the Seattle King County Convention and Visitors Bureau.
