New & Noteworthy

Manzanillo & Puerto De La Navidad (Colima state) Located on the "Mexican Riviera," just south of Puerto Vallarta, Manzanillo is a popular getaway for residents of Guadalajara and others searching for a less developed, more serene setting. Manzanillo is divided into two zones, the commercial port area and the tourist area with luxurious accommodations. Puerto de la Navidad is a picturesque retreat.

Appropriate for incentive groups or small meetings, the 200-room Grand Bay Hotel at Puerto De La Navidad is located on an exclusive peninsula, set on a magnificent golf course. It has 15,500 square feet of meeting space.

Bay of Huatulco (Oaxaca state) This picturesque area has become a resort comprising nine, interlocking bays with white sand beaches, backed by a tropical forest. Considered Mexico's newest meetings and conventions destination, the Bays of Huatulco is a premier "eco-tourism" resort, with acres of ecological preserve. The resort area has 34 hotels. Tangolunda Bay, with seven luxury hotels, offers the best meetings facilities.

Huatulco Attractions: Visitors can take moped rides to coffee plantations, play golf, go deep-sea fishing, scuba diving and snorkeling, sailing, and horseback riding. New to Huatulco are river kayaking, mountain biking, and evening presentations of folkloric ballet.
