GREAT GOLF AT A SOLD-OUT EVENT
Insurance Conference Planner and its sister magazines, which make up The Meetings Group, Primedia Business, bring its readers and Las Vegas suppliers together once a year for an Annual Corporate Golf Invitational, a two-and-a-half day tournament that highlights the desert playground's golf courses, hotels, and event venues. This year's sold-out event, held from April 17 to 20, included more than 100 meeting planning executives, incentive houses, and third-party planners as well as 30-plus hotels, DMCs, airlines, transportation companies, and golf industry suppliers.
The highlight of the event, as always, is golf, and this year's attendees had a chance to play scrambles on two of the area's best courses: the Rhoades Ranch Golf Course and The Revere at Anthem Golf Club.
The golf itself was sandwiched between festive events: a welcome reception at the Las Vegas Convention Center, hosted by the Las Vegas Convention and Visitor Authority, which featured informal tabletop exhibits; and the awards banquet on Friday evening at the Aladdin Resort & Casino, where the Invitational's sponsors gave away thousands of dollars' worth of prizes. The Aladdin showcased not only its expertise at hosting events and meetings, but dazzling entertainment.
