ROCKRESORTS RESURRECTED Rockresorts, the very upscale hotel brand created by Laurence Rockefeller in the 1960s, has been resurrected, at least in name and spirit. The new Rockresorts number four: Cheeca Lodge in Islamorada in the Florida Keys; the CuisinArt Resort & Spa in Anguilla; La Posada de Santa Fe, N.M.; and Rosario Resort in Eastsound, Wash., in the San Juan Islands.

Scottsdale, Ariz.-based Olympus Hospitality Group last year acquired the Rockresorts signature and "intellectual property."

"We are continuing a tradition established by Laurence Rockefeller," says President L.K. Eric Prevette. "And we intend to grow our portfolio."

The new Rockresorts are smaller, with 200 rooms or less and meeting space. Each takes advantage of its natural setting and local cuisine. By year-end all four resorts will have full-service spas.
