Also announced at the conference were the results of FICP's 2007 survey, which showed that 90 percent of members are “very satisfied” or “somewhat satisfied” with FICP, and 97 percent are likely to renew their membership. Benefits valued most by respondents include the annual conference, the education forum, the online job board, and online event registration.
To rousing applause, the 2010 annual conference location was revealed as the Fontainebleau Miami, which is reopening after a billion-dollar renovation this summer. The Fiesta Americana Grand Coral Beach in Cancun, Mexico, will host the annual in 2008. The 2009 annual will take place at the Sheraton Centre Toronto Hotel.
