In November, more than 160 planners, suppliers, and sponsors participated in the 2008 Meeting Masters at Pinehurst Resort, Pinehurst Village, N.C. The annual championship event brings together winners of various meetings industry golf tournaments sanctioned by Meeting Masters organizer The Golfe Inc. Pinehurst delivered a top-notch program, with rounds on Pinehurst No. 1, No. 8, and the world famous No. 2 courses. Although the weather was a bit cold and windy (about 15 degrees below norm), everyone agreed they were experiencing, as one planner put it, the “Holy Grail of golf here in the U.S.A.” Pinehurst is full of history and charming venues, and the town's pubs make for fun, relaxed evenings.
