FICP Forum Session to Focus on Change and “Changemakers”
The past year has seen some of the biggest changes in the history of the financial services industry, making the subject of one of the sessions at the upcoming FICP Forum more relevant than ever.
Corporate Meetings & Incentives Editor Barbara Scofidio will host a panel discussion, featuring three of the magazine’s Top 20 Changemakers: Todd Zint, CMP, CMM, vice president, meetings and event marketing, NFP Insurance Services Inc.; Patricia Kerr, CMP, director, distribution sales support, Manulife Financial; and Kelli Livers, director, travel and administrative services, Forethought Financial Services.
Last June, CMI introduced the first-ever Changemakers issue, identifying the 20 corporate meeting managers who have done the most to advance the practice of strategic meetings management (both within their companies and throughout the industry); to advance their roles beyond logistics toward focusing on strategy and ROI; and to influence the entire meetings management profession as educators, spokespersons, mentors, and leaders.
“The media has been singularly focused on excessive spending around meetings; meanwhile, companies with SMMPs already have all the checks and balances in place to hold fiscally responsible programs,” says Scofidio. “There’s much to learn from the meeting managers in those companies.”
The session will be held from 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Monday, June 22, during the FICP Forum at The Broadmoor, in Colorado Springs, Colo.
