New Upscale Conrad Hotel to Open in New York City
Conrad Hotels & Resorts, Hilton Worldwide’s luxury brand, is at work on a 463-room property in Manhattan’s financial district for an opening planned for late 2011. The first Conrad hotel in New York City is under development at the current site of the Embassy Suites New York, adjacent to the new Freedom Tower (One World Trade Center). The property will have more than 17,000 square feet of meeting space, including a 6,000-square-foot grand ballroom. Guest rooms average more than 550 square feet in area.
The Conrad New York joins four other Conrad hotels in the United States: Conrad Miami, Conrad Chicago, Conrad Indianapolis, and Conrad San Juan.
