CIC Votes in Two New Members
The Green Meeting Industry Council and the International Association of Professional Conference Organizers have joined the Convention Industry Council.
The CIC, an Washington, D.C.–based umbrella organization for the many groups that represent the meetings, conventions, and exhibitions industry, is now 33 associations strong.
Portland, Ore.–based GMIC was established in 2003 to promote environmentally responsible strategies for meetings and events.
IAPCO, celebrating its 40th anniversary this year, represents professional conference organizers in 26 countries around the world.
