Getting Engaged: Certification to Launch in 2011

The Enterprise Engagement Institute has announced a new certification program to launch next year to provide corporate executives and managers with the knowledge and strategies to effectively engage with employees, customers, suppliers, and other partners.

The Institute, the new research and curriculum arm of the Enterprise Engagement Alliance, Washington, D.C., will launch its Curriculum and Certification program at the first EEA Curriculum Conference and Expo to be held at McCormick Center in Chicago, October 4–5, 2011, coinciding with The Motivation Show, which starts October 5.

At a press conference at the 2010 Motivation Show in mid-October, Bruce Bolger, EEA managing director, said the engagement principles taught in the program would be relevant to executives focused on training, communications, conferences, leadership, and of range of other corporate disciplines. He characterized the certification as a “unifying experience” that will look at how a range of engagement tactics works together. The certification, he said, will be for “anyone in management who wants to make themselves more employable and a more effective leader,” as well as for organizations who want a more disciplined approach to engagement.

EEI is taking an innovative approach to developing the curriculum for the certification program, using collaboration software by MindMatters LLC to gather suggestions, holding webinars on each suggested topic, and bringing all the information together in a hybrid live/virtual curriculum meeting to be held at William J. Patterson University’s Cotsakos College of Business on December 8, 2010. Once finalized, the curriculum will be available online through Qube Learning instructional software.
