FICP Association News: Leadership Changes, Meeting Sites
The 2014 Financial & Insurance Conference Planners Annual Conference location has been announced: The Hilton Waikoloa Resort on The Big Island of Hawaii, November 16–19. Lots of planning is already under way for the 2012 conference, which takes place November 11–14 at the JW Marriott Los Angeles L.A. LIVE. And the 2013 FICP Annual Conference is set for November 17–20 at the Sheraton Boston. Next up for FICP is the 2012 Education Forum, set for June 20–22 at Charleston Place in Charleston, S.C.
FICP Board Changes
FICP 2011 Chair Todd Zint, CMP, CMM, of NFP in Austin, handed leadership of the organization to FICP 2012 Chair Koleen Roach, Securian Financial Group.
The association’s 2012 chair-elect & treasurer is Kelli Livers, CMP, of Forethought Financial Group. In addition to Todd Zint and Koleen Roach, continuing board members are Steve Bova, CAE, of FICP; Jana Stern, ING; Florine Edwards, CMP, CMM, FM Global; Lindsay Maloni, MetLife; Eldon Gale, Nationwide; and Kim Pickering, CMP, Manulife Financial. Joining the board this year is Wayne Robinson, CMP, Guardian Life Insurance Co.
FICP Hospitality Partner Advisory Council Changes
Outgoing Hospitality Partner Advisory Council Chair Kathy Fort Carty, CMP, Destination Services Corp., announced that Colleen Brzozowski, Grand Traverse Resort & Spa, will take over as 2012 HPAC Chair.
Joining the council is Clarence Day, The Ritz-Carlton, Kapalua, Maui. In addition to Fort Carty and Brzozowski, other continuing members are Bob Beach, Destination Hotels & Resorts; Katy Gettinger, Starwood Hotels & Resorts; Diane Goodman, CMP, Goodman Speakers Bureau; and Michael Tarr, CMP, Chicago Convention & Tourism Bureau.
