Registration for Financial & Insurance Conference Planners Education Forum is filling up fast. It will take place June 18 to 20 at Disney’s Yacht and Beach Club Resorts in Lake Buena Vista, Fla..

The two-and-a-half-day conference, with an experiential educational agenda focusing on leadership, is targeted to financial and insurance meeting planners of all levels of experience. Among the speakers and panelists is master of ceremonies Dan Young, director, event planning, Thrivent Financial for Lutherans (FICP vice president, membership); Debbie Boschee, vice president, conference and meeting services, Prudential; Kelli Livers, director of global meeting services, AIG; Kim Boriin, senior event marketing specialist, Guardian Investor Services LLC (FICP vice president, education); and Jan Hennessey, senior director, meetings and event management, Fireman’s Fund Insurance Co. (FICP vice president, communications).

A packed workshop agenda includes such topics as career management, contract negotiations, webinar best practices, corporate social responsibility and green meetings, strategic meetings management programs, ethics in the industry, and more. Opening and closing general sessions on “What’s My Communication Style?,” by Lapdog Inc.; and “Breakthrough Experience—Awakening Your Best!,” by The LifeSkills Center for Business Leadership & PATH to Greatness, will be highly interactive experiences.

Registration, open to industry meeting planners only, is expected to close at the end of May. The fee is $400 for FICP members and $500 for nonmembers. Guest rooms at Disney’s Yacht Club are $159 per night for Forum attendees. For more information, and to register, go to www.ficpnet.com.
