Learn Leadership Skills at FICP Forum

Anchored around the theme of “Awakening Your Best,” Financial & Insurance Conference Planners 2008 Summer Forum will offer a full roster of workshops, panels, and experiential presentations aimed at helping attendees expand their leadership potential. It takes place June 18 to 20 at Disney’s Yacht & Beach Club Resorts, Lake Buena Vista, Fla.

Building on the success of last year’s sold-out event, the Forum design team of financial services and insurance industry meeting planners and hospitality partners, led by FICP Vice President Education Kim Boriin, CMP, Guardian Investor Services LLC, has put together an education-packed program for all levels of experience, ranging from a pre-meeting session about how to study for the CMP to a panel discussion of strategic meetings management best practices. Other hot-topic panel discussions include breakouts on ethics in the workplace and corporate social responsibility/green meetings. Among additional workshop topics: how to negotiate contracts in a seller’s market, career management techniques, strategies for successful online events, and calculating return on investment for meetings. In keeping with the conference theme, opening and closing keynotes will be highly interactive general sessions on communications and leadership.

A complete agenda of Forum education and networking events, housing information, and online registration for meeting planners, will be available later this month at ficpnet.com.
