StarCite Adds One-on-One Meeting Scheduling Tool
StarCite, the Philadelphia-based meetings management technology company, announced yesterday that it has integrated a new scheduling tool for one-on-one meetings into its attendee-management product.
At the request of a “major client,” StarCite says it created the proprietary tool, called Meetings 1:1, to simplify the process of scheduling two-person meetings within a larger conference. The system matches attendees to time slots and locations based on their preferences and/or rankings assigned by the host organization. By allowing organizers to assign rankings, a company’s most important attendees get priority in their meeting choices.
The StarCite Attendee Management system, which already handles a variety of meeting registration tasks, including event marketing and Web site creation, now has the one-on-one meeting tool built in to the registration work flow. Once attendees have entered their availability for one-on-one meetings and their preferences, planners can then evaluate the meeting requests, auto-allocate the meeting slots (or organize them manually), e-mail attendees their schedules, and run reports.
The tool, StarCite says, will make the meeting-matching process more efficient and accurate. The meeting data can also be integrated with a company’s other systems, including customer-relationship-management databases.
In other StarCite news, the company announced in mid-April that Experient, a Twinsburg, Ohio–based meeting planning, registration, and housing company, will use StarCite’s electronic RFP sourcing tool. Experient employees and independent contractors will now drive e-RFPS to hotels through the StarCite Global Online Marketplace engine. A CMI 25 company, Experient is one of the largest independent meeting planning companies in North America.
