IMEX Lines Up Innovators for TechTap 2010

Each year since 2004 the IMEX TechTap, a technology focused stand at the Frankfurt-based exhibition for meetings and incentive travel, has showcased meetings-related technologies, many of which are new products or first-time exhibitors.

TechTap is organized by the Belgium-based Meeting Support Institute, which searches for and selects the 11 participants. Those confirmed so far for the May 25-27 exhibition include:

  • IML: A handheld device that allows attendees to text and vote, and also works as a microphone
  • etouches: a suite of Web-based event management applications, supporting 25 languages
  • Poken: a networking tool that allows attendees to touch two Poken gadgets together in order to share contact and social networking data
  • amiando: a Web-based system for creating registration forms and selling tickets for events, as well as participant management
  • iDentilam: conference badges that can control access to events and track and report on attendees
  • Streamline data: a content management system for presentations and Web sites
  • Shocklogic: Web-based meeting management system, including badging and barcode scanning
  • Spotme: a handheld interactive meeting device that incorporates personalized agendas, voting and Q&A capabilities, maps, an electronic business card exchange, text messaging, and more
  • Klewel: captures face-to-face event content for use online
  • Infowhyse: portable interactive audience response and electronic voting tools
