Voluntourism Webinar
Join Corporate Meetings & Incentives’ editor Barbara Scofidio and Elizabeth Henderson, CMP, M.Ed., CMM, director of Canadian development, Meeting Professionals International, Calgary, Alberta, as they participate in a webcast on Meetings & Conventions and VolunTourism. The free event, April 22 from 10-11 a.m. EDT, 7-8 a.m. PDT, is organized by VolunTourism.org, an educational Web site for this emerging travel industry segment. The live webinar will focus on three critical questions: 1) How is the meetings & convention market engaging in voluntourism? 2) What are some of the reasons meetings & convention groups are developing these types of programs? and 3) What resources are available to meeting professionals to support them in better serving their clients? Attendees will be able to e-mail questions or comments for the panelists, who will offer their expert advice and suggestions.
To participate, go to VolunTourism.org. In addition, more than 30 previously recorded webcasts on a variety of voluntourism-related topics can be accessed on the site, along with extensive information on voluntourism opportunities and finding the experience that is right for your audience.
