Worktopia Launches Booking Engine
Worktopia Inc., an online booking engine that offers meeting planners the ability to search, compare, and book simple meetings and group accommodations online in real time, announced its Universal Meeting Solution at the National Business Travel Association meeting in Los Angeles yesterday.
UMS automates the process for booking meeting space, catering, audiovisual equipment, and overnight accommodations in one online session. In addition, UMS provides attendee-management capabilities powered by SignUp4.com, detailed meeting-activity reports, and enhanced user-enrollment tools.
For corporations that have pre-negotiated contracts with hotels and other meeting facilities, Worktopia offers a corporate edition, which loads company-designated rates, properties, and other travel-related corporate guidelines into the system.
The Worktopia booking engine, with meeting space in hotels, conference centers, business centers, and airport lounges in 65 countries, can be found at www.worktopia.com, in private-label versions, and in travel management company corporate booking tools and global distribution system agency desktops.
