More than 160 planners, suppliers, and sponsors participated in the 2008 Meeting Masters at Pinehurst Resort, the annual championship event for winners of various meeting industry golf tournaments sanctioned by Meetings Masters organizer The Golfe Inc. Pinehurst delivered a top-notch program November 19-23, including rounds on Pinehurst No. 1, No. 8, and the world famous No. 2 course. Although the weather was a bit cold and windy (about 15 degrees below norm), everyone agreed they were experiencing, as one planner put it, the “Holy Grail of golf here in the U.S.A.,” and the cold was not going to get in the way. Pinehurst is full of history and quaint charm, and the town's pubs made for fun, relaxed evenings.
